MIP-Amplifier: Presentation of results in Brussels
The international working group of Mobility Information Points (MIPs) coordinated by touring artists under the roof of On the Move met in Brussels last week to present the results of the MIP-Amplifierproject.
The ECAS-funded MIP-Amplifier project, in cooperation with the Slovenian MIP Motovila, produced a handbook for organizations wishing to launch a new Mobility Information Point in their country. In addition, a joint data collection was launched for consultation cases and events, the preliminary results of which were made available in a report. To increase the visibility of the Mobility Information Points, a new overview website has been created.

KSK: Notification of the expected annual income for 2024 by December 1, 2023
The deadline for submitting the notification of expected annual income from self-employed artistic work in 2024 to the Künstlersozialkasse is December 1, 2023. The KSK website provides answers to frequently asked questions about the notification procedure, including future contribution payments.

Withholding tax procedure according to § 50a EStG - new registration form
As part of a technical change, a new form has been made available in the BZStOnline portal (BOP) for registering the withholding tax in accordance with Section 50a EStG. With immediate effect, the ElsterOnline Portal (EOP) no longer provides a form for tax deduction in accordance with Section 50a EStG. You can continue to use your existing Elster certificate to use the BOP.

Implementation of ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) postponed to mid-2025
The introduction of ETIAS was originally planned for 2024. The EU Commission will introduce the electronic registration procedure for short stays in a Schengen member state from mid-2025. The ETIAS travel authorisation will be necessary for people who were previously able to enter without a visa for a short stay.
