Einstrahlung

Term used in the German Social Security Code (§ 5 SGB IV). “Einstrahlung” refers to the fact that persons who are currently employed abroad and are sent temporarily to Germany by their foreign employer are not obligated to pay insurance contributions under German law. Under certain conditions, the foreign legislation is diffused (“einstrahlen”) into Germany. This also applies to self-employed persons.
