Author’s moral rights

The author’s moral rights are part of the German Copyright Act (§ 12ff. UrhG). The author’s moral rights protect the originator’s intellectual and personal relationships with his/her work. At their core are publishing rights (§ 12 UrhG), recognition of authorship (§ 13 UrhG), and protection against distortion of the work (§14 UrhG). The author’s moral rights are not transferable; only usage rights can be transferred.
